Watermael-Boitsfort Belgium grâce à son répertoire voguant des pays celtiques aux Balkans, en passant par les musiques traditionnelles d'ouest en est, avec des touches de sonorités orientales, mais aussi du groove, des improvisations ou encore des compositions originales.

Pour accompagner la harpe celtique et la voix de Sara, Damien pourra jouer diverses instruments comme de la mandoline, du bouzouki irlandais ou encore du bodhran. Vos proches pourront ainsi partager un bon moment à la découverte de plusieurs instruments.

The duo Keryda anime in Ariège County 09500 Ariège Occitanie France, Damien Papin double bass, Sara Evans harp, and contemporary classical music almost like “In a Chinese Temple Garden” from the English composer Albert W. Ketelbèy. They have a Celtic, Balkans and Oriental musical repertoire. 

Sara Evans Synesthetic artist, composer and harpist and Damien Papin double bassist introduces traditional folk music and explains why it’s important to explore new ensemble and instrumental combinations with Irish bouzouki, mandoline, bodhran traditional old fashioned instruments. 

The musical path started with Damien Papin playing traditional instruments like the Irish Bouzouki  tuition but Damien Papin switched to double bass. Step-by-step, he explored and enriched the double bass repertoire to find  his Ariège French Rural County identity not only as an instrumentalist, but as a musician and artist with harpist Sara Evans. They have work with the virtuoso harpist and duo partner as “Keryda” to develop our performance approach and spread new repertoire to reach equality between musical instruments, as unfortunately some are still considered ’second division,  Musical instruments are extension of our body, and we choose the ones we feel are more suitable to express our ideas; all musicians should be They have been played in several French Counties and embarked on creating a “Nature & Flora” Musical th new repertoire that explores deep connections between mutual influences of French Botanical Museum and plants and art natural plants and French Gardens culture through double bass and harp chamber duo.

The music they have produced for the duo and concluded that the repertoire was needed, serving both as a repertoire landmark for double bass and harp duo, and a springboard to popularise this special ensemble. Sara’s contribution to Nature & Flora 4thRencontres Vegetales du Massif Central  composition/arrangement process was crucial; This testifies how important it is to have a tight relationship between composer and performer. 

En Occitan Natureet Flore  : ‘tura e flòra’ and explores the mutual fascination between gardens, nature, plants, arts and culture; a reboot of biological French art and design and looking with respect and admiration at the preservation of the Nature, Flore, culture and arts.

Among the Duo lives near the homeland of Gabriel Fauré have in mind to explore his music and  Maurice Ravel, Camille Saint-Saëns and Giacomo Puccini, who harnessed the late 19th-century wave of Nature from Japan , capturing its deepest essence and passing on to us wonderfully malleable repertoire to transcribe and shape for our duo. 

A piece of music is well arranged or transcribed when such a process of translation does not betray the character nor hinder the musical intentions of the original source. The duo Keryda consider arranging and transcribing itis vital to explore and shape new ensemble techniques and repertoire, as well as to boost the identity of instruments..
